Grants to Teachers - 2025 Application

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!!

 

The Newport-Mesa Schools Foundation’s

“Grants to Teacher" Program 

provides grant funds to “certificated” teachers or school personnel within the Newport-Mesa Unified School District through our grant application process.

It is through donations from our local community, families, and businesses that we are able to award grants directly to the teachers and personnel to implement their program. The NMSF is the only foundation to award qualified grant funding to all district schools that apply.

Important “Step-by-Step” Links to Grant Application Listed Below

  • Print and READ the grant guide thoroughly.

  • Individual grants (maximum of $1,500) awards this year.

  • Grade Level-Elementary / Department-Secondary grants (maximum of $5,000) awards this year.

  •   Make sure your Principal and, if applicable, District Special Education Supervisor pre-approves your grant.

  • Book titles must follow NMUSD Classroom Library Selection Guidelines.

  • STEP 2 - Grant Proposal Application Form

    Download and save PDF to your hard drive before starting. Fill in Section I and II completely with all grant details and budgeted items. The budget columns will calculate the total for you. Please do not alter the PDF form, including font type or size.

    Make sure your Principal and if applicable, your Special Education Supervisor preapproves your proposal.

    You must complete the proposal BEFORE beginning the online Google Form.

    Ordering books? All books must follow the NMUSD Classroom Library Selection Guidelines.

    2025 GRANT APPLICATION

  • STEP 3 - Grant Application and Proposal Submission (via Google Form)

    Complete the Google Form responses and upload your proposal. An email with your formatted cover pages will be sent to you. Keep for your records.

    You will be notified in March, 2024 regarding the status of your grant.

  • STEP 4 - IF FUNDED, Turn in receipts with form -->

    If you are funded for a grant, you are required to return a completed/itemized Grant Award Receipts Form along with all the original receipts from your purchases.
