About Us

The Newport-Mesa Schools Foundation was established over forty years ago to raise funds to augment needed instructional programs in our district's public schools.

We do this as a volunteer, non-profit organization of community members who support excellence in education by raising funds for all students, in all schools within our Newport-Mesa school district.

As we step into the 45th year of the Newport-Mesa Schools Foundation, our mission remains strong: to empower teachers through classroom grants that foster creativity, innovation, and student engagement. These grants support students at every level, from preschool through high school, and address the diverse needs of our special education community. We proudly fund projects across all areas of study, including performing arts, career education, and social-emotional programs.

This work would not be possible without the collaboration and dedication of our partners, including the Newport-Mesa School District leadership, the Assistance League of Newport-Mesa, and our loyal donors who give so generously year after year.

I am especially grateful for our dedicated board members and volunteers, who contribute their time, energy, and personal resources to strengthen our foundation. To me, they are true heroes, and it is an honor to lead such an inspiring group.
